Organized by the Rotary Club of Patan East, with technical support from Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center, the HPV/DNA screening program for cervical cancer took place on December 14, 2024 (29th Mangsir 2081). The event was held at Westar Residency in Balkumari, Lalitpur, and was dedicated to empowering women's health through early detection and prevention of cervical cancer.
Cervical cancer has remained one of the leading health concerns among women in Nepal, and this program successfully addressed it by providing advanced HPV/DNA testing. The program focused on raising awareness about the importance of early diagnosis, encouraging women to prioritize their health, and taking proactive measures to prevent cervical cancer.
The event offered free screening facilities and emphasized community collaboration to tackle this critical health issue. Women who participated in the program gained access to essential health services and learned about the significance of regular check-ups and adopting preventive measures.
This initiative was supported by multiple organizations, including Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center, The Magic of Rotary, Upachar K Lagi Sahayogi Haatharu, and other health-focused partners. It represented a collective effort to strengthen women's health and ensure a healthier future for communities.
