Breast Health Camp: A Milestone in Community Health Awareness

On 31st December 2024, a successful Breast Health Camp was organized at the Community Health Post, Budhanilkantha Ward No. 3. This impactful initiative was conducted in collaboration with BWP Budhanilkantha and supported by the National Cancer Hospital and Research Center (NCHRC) and the Nepal Cancer Support Group (NCSG). The camp aimed to provide vital breast health awareness, screenings, and consultations to women from the local community, ultimately benefiting over 60 participants.

The camp addressed a pressing need for accessible health services and education in the area. Beneficiaries received free breast screenings, expert consultations, and guidance on early detection of breast-related health issues, empowering them with the knowledge to prioritize their well-being. Dr. Murari delivered an engaging presentation on breast cancer, sharing critical information on prevention, early detection, and the importance of timely treatment. Educational sessions led by doctors from the Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center focused on teaching participants how to identify lumps through self-examinations and emphasized the need for early medical intervention when abnormalities are detected.

The collaboration between Helping Hands For Remedies (HHFR), BWP Budhanilkantha, NCHRC, and NCSG was instrumental in the success of the camp. With their combined efforts, participants gained valuable insights and resources to become more proactive about their breast health.
